BUDGET WORKSHOP

Tonight was the final budget workshop to wrap up the last of undecided items to put in the final budget. The Council had several discussions over Veteran Credits and Economic Development Initiatives.

Councilor Chirichiello moved the following: Amend the budget to include the  following changes [some of which were noted on Option A] which includes the movement of the fire station construction,  bond revenue and related debt service on the fire station from FY 2006 to FY 2007; Increasing the Veterans Exemption from $100 to $200; Reducing Prevention and Emergency Services Telephone expense by $21,600; to reduce the use of Fund Balance by $40,000 for a total of $560,000 and to add $50,000 to Administration-to establish funds for Economic Development Initiatives. Seconded by Councilor Dowd.

Following discussion among the Council members the

VOTE was 4-3-0 (Fairbanks, Coyle, Reisdorf)
