Welcome to the Town of Derry, New Hampshire. We are situated an hour from Boston, an hour from the seacoast, and an hour from the base of the great White Mountains of New Hampshire.

2015 Tax Rate
Tax Bills were mailed on November 20, 2015 and are due on December 22, 2015.
Interim Town Administrator Susan Hickey reports that the NH Department of Revenue Administration has set the Town of Derry’s 2015 tax rate at $29.23. The rate is lower than the 2014 by .19 cents.

The Town of Derry is seeking proposals from professional consulting firms for services related
to the recruitment of executive staff. Qualified firms/individuals are encouraged to submit
proposals to the Town of Derry Interim Town Administrator, 14 Manning Street, Derry, NH
03038. Proposals must be received by the Interim Town Administrator by 2:00pm on December 14, 2015 in order to be considered, submissions must be labeled "Town Administrator Recruitment Services Proposal".

NH's New Hands Free Electronic Device Law
will be in effect July 1, 2015
That means the use of hand held electronic devices capable of providing voice or data communication while driving or temporarily halted in traffic for a stop sign or traffic signal or other momentary delays will not be allowed. 911 calls will be allowed. Bluetooth or other hands-free devices will be allowed.
1st Offense - $100 fine
2nd Offense -  $250 fine
3rd Offense (within 2 years) - $500 fine
Penalty assessments will be added to the fines
