Recreation Basketball Program 2014
Registrations are accepted: Monday, October 6th- Friday, November 14th, 2014

The winter basketball program is a fun, instructional program introducing the fundamentals of the sport in a non-competitive atmosphere. Games occur on Saturday’s beginning in January at various school gymnasiums throughout the town of Derry. Week day practices are held once a week for participants in grades 3 through 8 beginning in Mid- December. Click the link for more information, or call 603-432-6136.
PeeWee Basketball Program 2014
Registrations are accepted: Monday, October 6th- Friday, November 14th, 2014

The recreational winter basketball PeeWee program is a fun, instructional program introducing the fundamentals of the sport in a non-competitive atmosphere. Clinics will occur on Saturday’s beginning in January at various school gymnasiums throughout the town of Derry. This program is for children ages 4- 5 years of age. ALL other travel teams are now full

Additional Information:
• Tryouts will take place at Grinnell School in Derry
• A Parent/guardian must be present at tryouts and complete a waiver at time of participation.
• Please make sure to be on time for your designated tryout. Late arrivals might not be permitted to tryout. At this time we have no other scheduled tryouts.
• Please remember that this is a competitive league which follows the rules of the Manchester Suburban Basketball League www.msblnh.com

The Town of Derry Parks & Recreation Department and Parkland Medical Center have teamed up once again to offer a series of educational presentations about various health and wellness topics specifically for those aged 55 or better. This informative lecture, with guest speaker Corinne Chaar, will address how the food we eat affects more aspects of our lives than one might think! Senior Citizen Harvest Luncheon

Join your friends and meet some new people as you enjoy a delicious catered meal served to you by a Derry Recreation Employee! Derry residents can begin registering on Monday, August 18th. Non-residents can begin registering on Monday, September 8th. Tickets are for adults 50 years of age or better while supplies last. A limited amount of tickets will be available for this event. The Derry Parks & Recreation Department will be accepting recreational registration forms for children ages 4 through high school as of January 1, 2015 for the winter basketball program. The winter basketball program will begin officially in January 2015 and will conclude by mid March. Additional information on the program will be available in September.

Join the Derry Parks & Recreation Department and the Derry Downtown Merchants as the community celebrates some Spooktacular festivities. Starting at Veteran’s Hall enjoy a free costume parade and contest for children ages infant through 12 year olds. After the parade, visit participating merchants for Downtown Trick- Or- Treating from East Broadway to Hood Commons. Monday November 10th - Veterans Thank you held at the Taylor Library from 12:00pm - 2:00pm. Light Refreshments will be served. Call 603-432-7186 to confirm attendance.

Holiday Parade! The parade will begin on
West Broadway, turning down Crystal Avenue, and ending at Hood Commons!

After the parade enjoy face painting, cookie decorating, arts and crafts and more at Veteran's Hall.

Visit Santa and Mrs Claus at the Adams Memorial Building.
