2015 Splashpad Group Application
Derry resident groups register starting February 2nd, 2015
Non -resident groups register starting March 30th, 2015

Summer 2015 is fast approaching! All groups and organizations interested in attending the Derry Splashpad this summer must complete and submit the Group Application prior to attending. Groups are encouraged to read through the group-use policy before completing the application form. Derry resident groups are free of charge and non-resident based groups incur a $50.00 per visit fee.

All individuals interested in visiting Don Ball Park for the purpose of a gathering, including but not limited to, a birthday party must complete and submit an application prior to attending. Dates are only available on Saturday’s and Sunday’s from mid-June through August in 2 hour increments. The outdoor rental fee for Derry residents is $20.00 and non-residents are $50.00.

T-Ball Sign-Ups Begin

T-Ball is a fun, instructional, and interactive program introducing youth ages 4 through 7 to the fundamentals of baseball in a friendly environment. The program follows a set schedule with games occurring twice weekly weather permitting.
Games and practices are scheduled by the Derry Recreation Department and are played at various fields throughout Derry. All official coaches and assistant coaches are registered volunteers through the Recreation Department.

Big Apple Circus Trip

Join the Derry Parks & Recreation Department for a fun-filled day with your friends and family in BOSTON during April Vacation!
Enjoy a comfortable ride on a Coach Bus to the City Hall Plaza for a spectacular show by the Big Apple Circus. Watch in amazement as the circus comes to life right in front of your eyes. Look for clowns, trapeze artists, jugglers, contortionists, a Ringmaster like no other, and much, much more! And remember, no one sits more than 50 feet from the ring!

Afterwards, travel to Historic Faneuil Hall in Boston. Enjoy a wide variety of amenities that you and your family can enjoy together including shops, restaurants, live music, and more!

Free Baseball and Softball Clinic

Derry Little League along with the Derry Parks and Recreation Dept. are sponsoring a FREE Baseball and Softball Clinic for Boys and Girls ages 6 - 8. Three two(2) week sessions running from February 15th- March 22nd. Choose 1 of 3 sessions being held on Sundays from 6:00 - 7:30pm at the SportsZone in Derry. See attached flyer for more information.

Join Go Green Derry for some Saturday morning fun at our local winter wonderland! Eastern Mountain Sports will provide snowshoes to try! Afterward, warm up by the fire with some hot cocoa!

Young Athletes Program

The Young Athletes™ program (YAP) is a FREE sports play program for all children ages 2-7, designed to introduce them to the world of sports. Many Young Athletes programs serve as an opportunity for children with and without to play and interact together. The Young Athletes program in New Hampshire is a great introduction to athletics for youth and families of all abilities.
If the Derry School District has a morning delay or cancels school, YAP will be cancelled for the day.

St.Patrick's Day Trip

Healthy Aging Lecture Series ~ Demystifying Local, State, & Federal Veteran Resources

The Town of Derry Parks & Recreation Dept. and Parkland Medical have teamed up to offer a series of educational presentations about various health and wellness topics specifically for those aged 50 or better. Each lecture will consist of a presentation from a healthcare expert as well as a question and answer session. Seating is limited and advanced registration is requested. The Sound of Music 5oth Anniversary Trip

Celebrate The Sound of Music!
50th Anniversary Trip, Stowe, Vermont
Wednesday, June 24, 2015

Join the Derry Parks & Recreation Department as we travel to Stowe Vermont to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the “Sound of Music!”
First we will visit the Cold Hollow Cider Mill in Vermont where you can enjoy a lunch (on your own) at the Apple Core Luncheonette and a self- guided tour of the cider mill as time permits.
After lunch we will travel to the Trapp Family Lodge to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of “The Sound of Music!” During our 90 minute tour, enjoy see the historic property, a history of the family with comparisons to the movie, a viewing of “The Real Maria” Documentary and then a Q&A with a family member!
This is a Truly Magical Trip you don’t want to miss!

Pinkerton Academy is pleased to invite you to the Senior Citizen Prom! The theme for this year will be "Luau", dressing in theme is encouraged but not required. Doors will open at 11:45AM. There is no fee for the prom, however, tickets are required for all attendees. Registration will begin Monday, March 9th for Derry Residents and Monday, March 16th for Non-Residents. We welcome you to join the Derry Parks & Recreation Department for an afternoon celebration of Easter and springtime in Derry. Admission for this catered event is $5.00 to be paid at the time of registration. Tickets are for adults 50 years of age and better while supplies last. Derry Residents can begin registering on Monday, March 2nd. Non-residents can begin registering on Monday, March 16th.
