Derry Farmers Market

Located in it's original downtown Derry location on the Benson Lumber & Hardware Property! The market will continue to take place every Wednesday throughout the summer and will conclude on Wednesday, September 24th. The market will take place rain or shine. Topic- Bone Health- How Dense are Your Bones, and the Diet/ Excersise that Supports Them?
The Town of Derry Parks & Recreation Department and Parkland Medical Center have teamed up once again to offer a series of educational presentations about various health and wellness topics specifically for those aged 55 or better. This informative lecture, with guest speaker Kristen Flagg, will address bone health, bone density, and the diet and exercise that accompany good health. 25th Annual DerryFest

Astros' Travel Basketball Tryouts

Tryouts will begin in early October for both male and female participants in grades 3rd – 6th for the competitive travel team. Questions? Fall Foliage Trip
Wednesday, October 1, 2014

Join the Derry Parks and Recreation on a dinner train ride through the beautiful Lakes Region of New Hampshire. The Hobo Railroad sets voyage from the center of Meredith in NH and takes you throughout the area showing off the area's charming fall foliage. While aboard, enjoy a full turkey dinner that is sure to put you into the fall mentality. More information will be available for this trip as the date draws near. Recreation Basketball Program 2014
Registrations are accepted: Monday, October 6th- Friday, November 14th, 2014

The winter basketball program is a fun, instructional program introducing the fundamentals of the sport in a non-competitive atmosphere. Games occur on Saturday’s beginning in January at various school gymnasiums throughout the town of Derry. Week day practices are held once a week for participants in grades 3 through 8 beginning in Mid- December. Click the link for more information, or call 603-432-6136.

Senior Citizen Harvest Luncheon

Join your friends and meet some new people as you enjoy a delicious catered meal served to you by a Derry Recreation Employee! Derry residents can begin registering on Monday, August 18th. Non-residents can begin registering on Monday, September 8th. Tickets are for adults 50 years of age or better while supplies last. A limited amount of tickets will be available for this event. The Derry Parks & Recreation Department will be accepting recreational registration forms for children ages 4 through high school as of January 1, 2015 for the winter basketball program. The winter basketball program will begin officially in January 2015 and will conclude by mid March. Additional information on the program will be available in September.

Join the Derry Parks & Recreation Department and the Derry Downtown Merchants as the community celebrates some Spooktacular festivities. Starting at Veteran’s Hall enjoy a free costume parade and contest for children ages infant through 12 year olds. After the parade, visit participating merchants for Downtown Trick- Or- Treating from East Broadway to Hood Commons.
