Gallien's Town Beach is Derry's waterfront area located on the corner of Route 102 and Pond Road. GTB is open to Derry Residents and their guests only. Season passes may be obtained at both the Parks & Recreation Office, or at the GTB Concession Stand. Daily passes may also be obtained at the GTB Concession only. Proof of Derry Residency is required upon purchasing both season passes and daily passes. Beach Pass fees for the 2011 season are as follows:
- Season Family Pass: $50.00
- Season Individual Pass: $22.00
- Season Senior Citizen Pass: FREE
- Adult Daily Entrance Fee: $2.00
- Child Daily Entrance Fee: (12 & under) $1.00
- Child Daily Entrance Fee: (under 3) FREE
- Guest Pass: $4.00 (two non-resident guests are allowed per Derry resident, regardless of age)
Gallien's Beach opening day for the 2011 season is scheduled for Saturday, June 11th weather permitting. Normal operating hours during the summer season are 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., Sunday through Saturday (weather permitting). During these hours lifeguards are on duty for swimming, the concession stand is available for purchasing food and drinks, and the park area is open for picnicking, fishing, and the launching of non-motorized boats. Kayak and paddle boat rentals
are available to patrons for $5.00 - $10.00 per hour.
